So far we’ve got three agencies saying the cut-off was the 20th and two agencies saying the cut-off was the 22nd.
I’m not changing the box until this clears up a bit more.
Half the Sky has a new earthquake update. I can’t even begin to summarize it, you’ll just have to go read it for yourself: http://www.halfthesky.org/journal/?p=103

My agency’s next LID is Jan. 23. They confirmed that they only received Chinese heritage expedited referrals and not regular referrals.

If they get to the 20th and do the same number of days next month it will bring us to 1/28. The 29th started CNY in 2005 that year so it we would be starting with February referrals in August as many have predicted.
Does anyone have a theory on why they included more days this month? I apologize if it a numbers thing that has been discussed but numbers make my head hurt so I am sure I skipped the post:) I am not anticipating a speed up but this would certainly help.
Now on to the next mystery, will there be travel during the Olympics? Will they continue to match but not send TA’s? If they suspend travel how quickly will it resume? I have heard several different answers including one from own agency which said they would bypass the Beijing portion of the trip…this may have changed since it was months ago when I asked.
I need the shrugging smiley:)

I think that I am with the same agency as emory2001-they actually got referrals for 1-16 and expedited. You are correct the their next LID is 1-23.
Still great news to get to the 22nd!

I agree on the New Year celebration. I have been told by my adoption agency that they have zero lids from the 28th til the 14th of Feb. 2006. I assume the office in Beiing is closed for two weeks, can you confirm that RQ? That means no one else will have lids for the same period meaning we should move thru 2 weeks very quickly. But I wonder if the earthquake will slow things down for us. We are 3/6/06.

jezebel~ that would be great! Actually they were closed from Saturday January 28th, 2006 (some say 29th) and reopened on Monday February 6th, 2006.
