An agency reports the CCAA is still matching.
Another says referrals are on the way.

If they’re on the way, I hope they hurry! Our agency is closed Thursday and Friday for the holiday…. I’m celebrating 4th of July with our adoption fellowship group; sure would be nice to have the referral to show-off!

Well, so far I’ve mowed the yard, pressured washed the house and gave the dog a bath today. All to keep from sitting in front of the computer hitting the refresh button on RQ!!!
Storks, we need storks flying! I can’t keep working this hard!

My agency is still expecting matches this week… and if the matches do not arrive arrive until Thursday, they’re going to work Friday morning (yes-on 7/4!) to make match calls. How great is that?!?!
Let’s hope whatever is in the mail will arrive tomorrow…

Amy –
I am familiar with the agency to which you refer and I am 1/24 — what is your LID?

Hi Colette,
We’re a Chinese-descent family… so we have an expedited LID of 12/4/06. Generally expedited applications are matched one month at a time. Nov 06 was matched in June (after 6 months of no expedited matches at all). Dec 06 is up next… along with other Jan 06 LIDs.

Nice to meet you. Good luck! I assume that the expedited families may travel with NSN non expedited so perhaps we will meet sometime. I have an aunt by marriage who is Chinese who considered adopting and would likely have been in expedited but she was looking around when you logged in so she would still have waited a very long time!

Hi again Colette,
When we started the process (exactly 2 years ago in 7/06) - we were told the wait was 6-8 months. HA! Were they wrong. IF we get our match this week, it’ll be 19 months from LID. But our expectations were set and it was way off. Sorry… I know everyone is waiting much longer than that. Hope we both get our referrals this week!
Chat soon… Amy

Well, after spending the whole weekend awake and staring at the computer waiting for what we THOUGHT would be referrals, I’m a little beyond anxious to hear something positive. My Magic 8 ball has failed me so I have no clue, but it sure would be nice to have our referral before the holiday weekend. But, since Murphy’s Law has been in control of our entire adoption, I’m guessing more like next Tuesday… anyone want to venture a guess?

We started he process in August 2005 with DTC in December 2005 and it was 6-8 months then. By January when we logged in we were told 10 months. There are many things I love about our agency but one is that we have been given an accurate description of the wait.
Jodi — As for guesses I think July 8th is a good safe bet. I am sorta leaning toward getting the call on July 4th but 8th seems likely!
