I used Blessed Kids back in Nov. 2006 and they were great getting photos of my second daughter in her orphanage. However, my daughter didn’t come to me with her “teddy bear” I had ordered for her. The service is honest and do tell you that may happen. I also never got responses back to the questions I asked. But sending a letter to her caregivers, expressing my thanks for looking after my daughter and those photos of her in her surroundings were priceless to me.

This lady provides a package/letter/translation service for adopting parents and that includes a list of things you might want to ask your child’s caregiver. A caution, though: some orphanages won’t give your child gifts (imagine living in an orphanage and watching other kids get things when you get none) but will probably give your child a letter or book. Some will pass on everything-depends where your child lives and the luck of the draw.
