I have heard a few comments about packages in the air but am unsure if they were for the LOA that just arrived or if there are more TA’s coming?? Anyone know?? Several TA’s have arrived this week which is excellent news! :)

Congraulations on all the TA’s.
On the other note. I got a weekly email today from our agency and it finally says that the current wait time from LID to review room is 18 mths, and from LID to referral is 31 mths.

Littleperson, my agency is reporting that March 07 is in review. I don’t know if that means that all of Feb 07 is out, or just our agency. I’m LID March 07, so I’m following this closely.

Just wanted to share some Olympic travel news with you all. Our son is in Beijing. We got his referral in June and TA in early July. Today we learned that we cannot travel until after September 20 because the Civil Affairs Office won’t be making any appointments until then. Since there is a national holiday from Sept. 29 through Oct. 5, we can’t actually travel and complete adoption until after Oct. 5.
Not telling you to make anyone feel down; just wanted to let you know what is going on around the Olympics for the capital city.

King, thank you for the info.
We we had our file sent to China awaiting our LID, our agency (Canada) sent us a letter stating that the wait time would be 30-33 months before we got our referral. So with your info and ours, the match.
Crossing my fingers that this is true. We should receive our referral somewhere around June 2011.
That really does not seem that far away.
Keeping our headsup..

As a side note, my agency also reported yesterday that the CCAA states that wait times will continue to grow, but if American families are willing to wait, they will get a child.

Congratulations to all those receiving TA’s! We are still awaiting ours - hopefully this next week. :) I was just going to add that we waited 29 1/2 months for our referral and that we are now 1/2 way through the year 2008 and they are still finishing up January 2006. As the months go by and the “progress” is still measured by days and not by weeks - I would say (littleperson647) that 30 -33 months for a referral with an LID in November of 2007 based on the current rate is not accurate. I’m so sorry to tell you that because I wish for you it was accurate and I hope there will be a speed-up so that it is true for you. But, honestly the wait right now is 30 to 33 months. Every month that goes by - your wait will get subsequently longer because they continue to only process in days and not weeks. If you even just take an average - like 5 days. And say they process 5 days a month or even say they do process a week - 7 days a month. Still your wait is going to be much longer than 30 months because of the huge backlog of months in front of you. Make sense? So 4 weeks in a month - that equals 4 months to process one LID month. That sounds crazy - but that is what is happening with January 2006. It took them 6 months to process ONE MONTH of LIDs. I’m not saying it can’t change - it just might change. But right now it is crazy slow. Right now it seems like every new month of referrals that those families have the dubious honor of saying “hey, guess what, we’ve waited the longest!” and sadly it is because they have. and it stinks! So right now - with an LID of 2007 - I would just say to look at the current pace and estimate from there…. right now the wait is 30 months. But they are still in JANUARY OF 2006….2006. Not 2007. sheww….that still blows my mind!
