Looking forward to seeing Mummy 3 and I have not seen Batman ( I think it would just be way too dark for me) but I did read through Breaking Dawn this weekend. I am sure I can count myself a Stephenie Meyer fan (thank you very much AQ- I only started the series after your first review on her) if I had a boarder's wrist band with a low number of 7 on it! And was there for the mid-might release! Yah I am pretty sure that I was the only woman over 22 years old with a book her in hand yelling Go Team Jacob!!! Wahoo! at 12:05am

I totally enjoyed the story and will probably read through it again. Thanks RQ for your reviews! Totally help divert with the waiting.

Loved Dark Knight - for sure one of the better movies I have seen in a long time. I would love to own it on DVD eventually. Violence and that sort of thing never bothers me much in movies (yeah, I am weird) and I did not even notice the length of the movie. I saw Mamma Mia this past weekend, and it was okay. I was hoping it would be better, but I enjoyed it.

JUST got home from the Mummy 3 and the movie would have been GREAT if not for the horrible acting. We were so excited to see it and the only one who didn't make me cringe was Jet Li. Even Brendan Frasier seem like he was just reading lines. I loved the other Mummy movies but hated the Evie and Alex actors in the new one.

I've seen Dark Night and Mummy 3. Loved each one for it's own great qualities.

IMO, Mummy 3 does not deserve the bum rap it is getting. I like it much more than the Mummy 2. It is much more on track with Mummy 1, which I LOVE. I read a bunch of reviews and I think Ebert is dead on. I did miss Rachael Weiss though.

I have to say that I am into "hero", fantasy, scifi, genras. On the way home DH and I both agreed that the 2 Chinese woman are they type of female, action adventure heros we would like DD to have. Strong, smart, couragous, self sacrificing, AND the daughter gets the guy without ever taking her clothes off. He likes her because she is strong, smart and brave. WOO HOO!!!

I agree I would never take young kids to see this movie. I did take my 15 year old and my husband.. I would not take much younger than that. The Joker is intense.

I'm not easily grossed out, theatrical violence (as opposed to real life) does not usually bother me, and yet this movie bothered me. I LOVED the story line. I loved the actors. I love Batman. But something about this movie did NOT sit well with me at all. It started with the Joker making the pencil disappear, and then I just never managed to stop wincing all through the movie. Perhaps I was just in a weird mood. I've warned my friends who might consider taking a younger person with them that it'd be a bad idea based on my own reaction. I'm sure LOTS of people will enjoy it, I just didn't on the particular day I watched it.

I thought the Dark Knight was great. It was long though. I missed about 5 min. or so going on a potty break.

Have now seen both movies (Dark Knight & the Mummy one). The Dark Knight is definitely better than the mummy movie...better dialog, better character development, less predictable... but I really enjoyed the China aspect of the mummy movie....and recognized a few Mandarin words.

One of the scenes was really gross.....I was wishing that I hadn't just put a nacho full of gooey cheese into my mouth.
