I can’t believe how quiet things are out there.
It would appear that:
- They are still matching. (R2)
- This is going to be a very small batch. It’s possible the cut off will be January 27th. (R2)
But this comes in on very little data, which is why both items are an R2. Though I only need information from one more agency to make that second point an R3.
I wish I had something else, but that’s it.

Thanks RQ for the update. Seems like the lid has been getting tighter and tighter on information in these last few months, but somehow, you manage to keep us as informed as possible. Much appreciated!

Some one in Spain who are waiting for her referral this month called her agency this morning.
They received nothing today and they don’t know if something is in the air.

Good luck to everyone on this long and difficult journey. I took the name “FindingHope” because I truly believed with all my heart that a child waited at the end of it all. And one did. But she wasn’t waiting in China. To my surprise, the past two years of my wait for China finally led me to a different path; and at the end of that path, was my beautiful little girl. I’ve just been matched in a different program.
I posted earlier that there’s nothing wrong with looking at the road you’re on and seeing if maybe it’s trying to lead you somewhere else. Mine was, and it lead me to a wonderful place and an incredible little child. My heart was in China, and it needed to be; because in the end, it was China that led me to another country.
For those of you staying on this long and difficult ride, my deepest and most sincere wishes for a speedy union with your children. May China quickly return to full and generous batches. And for those of you feeling pulled in a different direction, PLEASE listen to your heart and see where it leads you. I had no idea that this beautiful, incredible, precious little girl was waiting for me somewhere else.
Peace and love to all.

Congratulations FindingHope!! That’s Wonderful news!! Enjoy your new baby girl!
My family is doing a concurrent adoption and hopefully we will be matched next year. We are waiting in line for China (lid 10/07), but we are not putting our hopes up. Anything can change in the next year or so and who knows if there will be a child at the end. We pray there is a child from China, but if not we decided not to put our lives on hold. We are looking into grants to make this happen.
Best wishes to you and your family!

Finding Hope,
I am sooo happy for you. We too are looking at other options by Nov. We have decided to look into older sibling groups here in the U.S. while we wait. Many kids are up for adoption and they can’t find homes. Maybe by early next year I will be the mom of 2 boys. Funny how life works. I never expected that. Best of luck to you!! Thanks for all your kind words along the way! LID 1-17-07

wait4ever-
We’ve supported each other a lot over the past year and a half, haven’t we? If you’re at all interested in Ethiopia, there are many healthy children Pre-K age with no known medical concerns. They’re just waiting due to their age. Can you imagine, at 3-4 years old, already being over the hill?
Good luck to you. I hope you get your boys!! And I think we’re both living proof that just when you think you’re at your lowest, something wonderful is waiting around the corner. You’ll be a great mom.
