When

The last 12 referral batches arrived at 32, 29, 31, 33, 26, 32, 31, 32, 28, 38, 28 and 35 days.

The least time between batches is 26 days, the most is 38, and the average is 31. We see 28 and 31 twice and we see 32 three times.

Without considering any possible delays from the Olympics, the soonest I would expect to see them this month is Monday, September 8 and the latest is Thursday, September 18. The most likely arrival based on the average would be Thursday, September 11.

But we aren’t positive there will be no delays. From what I understand they were only off for a few days, so there really should not be. But, stranger things have happened.

If this is to be a shorter month then we can expect rumors to start as early as the middle of next week.

……come on CCAA…let’s get to February 8th, 2006…February is a “short” month of the year with only 28 days…let’s make it thru in < 4 months…not the six months it took to get thru Jan 06…then we see a clear path for the March 2006 LID’s…this will be a mamoth month to get thru…everyone will need to have extra patience…..

Signed so glad to be thru Jan 2006…

At the risk of offending people in line behind me, the idea of waiting until the 18th is agonizing. After three years (total) the last few weeks of waiting (especially after we missed the August batch) is sooooo hard. The finish line keeps moving away. Please, please be the 8th!!

Okay, I’m done whining. I’m just glad that the end of this wait is in sight!! I’m ready to start a new journey WITH our new daughter!

Stephanie & Ivan, your daughter is gorgeous!! What a beauty! I hope you get to China very soon.

Is it possible to hold your breath for two weeks?? I was really hoping to make it through Feb. in 3 months. Maybe too hopeful?? I just thought it would put a positive spin on things since I feel like March will take 6 months. Thanks so much RQ for keeping us updated!

With Moon Festival to start on September 14, I’d think they’d mail them the week before that so they are arriving while China is closed for the holiday and acceptances arrive back when they reopen but before the National Holiday the first week of October, when they are closed again.

    Hi Everyone!
I just saw on the CCAA website that they had meetings with delegates from United Kingdom and the Netherlands over the past few weeks. RQ do you think this is a good sign as the Olympics are on? Thank you and Congratulations to all the new parents!

    Couchcat,

    Did you catch this part:

From May 2007, China tightened the rules for foreigners who wanted to adopt Chinese children.

To qualify as an eligible family, couples now need to have a stable marriage, comfortable income, and sound physical and mental health

I believe all of these were required when we adopted two years ago.

I did catch that, I think they’re referrign to the new rules about married couples only, BMI, etc.
