Couchcat,

Did you catch this part:

From May 2007, China tightened the rules for foreigners who wanted to adopt Chinese children.

To qualify as an eligible family, couples now need to have a stable marriage, comfortable income, and sound physical and mental health

I believe all of these were required when we adopted two years ago.

Hi Everyone!
I just saw on the CCAA website that they had meetings with delegates from United Kingdom and the Netherlands over the past few weeks. RQ do you think this is a good sign as the Olympics are on? Thank you and Congratulations to all the new parents!

With Moon Festival to start on September 14, I'd think they'd mail them the week before that so they are arriving while China is closed for the holiday and acceptances arrive back when they reopen but before the National Holiday the first week of October, when they are closed again.

Is it possible to hold your breath for two weeks?? I was really hoping to make it through Feb. in 3 months. Maybe too hopeful?? I just thought it would put a positive spin on things since I feel like March will take 6 months. Thanks so much RQ for keeping us updated!

At the risk of offending people in line behind me, the idea of waiting until the 18th is agonizing. After three years (total) the last few weeks of waiting (especially after we missed the August batch) is sooooo hard. The finish line keeps moving away. Please, please be the 8th!!

Okay, I'm done whining. I'm just glad that the end of this wait is in sight!! I'm ready to start a new journey WITH our new daughter!

Stephanie & Ivan, your daughter is gorgeous!! What a beauty! I hope you get to China very soon.
