If you think about it...if you are childless and have a choice...would one choose a young as possible newborn from a SWI or a tramatized post earthquake child? (I do not mean to sound cold but I would guess many would choose the first) My heart goes out to all the the children that suffered the loss of their families in the earthquake. I think it is wonderful that familes are rallying to adopt these children. But if you have 10K or 5K wanting from one area wanting to adopt...imagine how many others are out there in China wanting to adopt. It makes sense to me then that inchina adoptions are on the rise and are becoming less stigmatized.
