LID Survey
As we discussed before, using a survey package instead of a polling package gives us a lot more choices.
Instead of a LID Poll with a limited number of choices, we can do a LID survey. That means that if you are still in the NSN line and still waiting for a referral then you can enter your LID in our survey. We are no longer restricted to the next 60 log in dates.
I’m making the request that if you have pulled out of the NSN program, or if you expect to be expedited, that you not complete the survey. We are trying to nail down the number of people for each log in date who expect to be referred at the normal time. If the expedited folks want me to do a survey for you at a later date I’m open to doing that, though I’ll need your help on what questions you want me to ask.
You can take this survey and enter your log in date here.

RQ- thank you for the survey. It appears to be broken however- I get the following error. “Error processing survey: Survey is not active. “

Yeah, I posted it and then activated it. It’s activated now.

RQ: I participated in a LID survey/poll about a week ago, and then again today. Is this a new one? I can’t remember if it was attrition or LID. Anyway, I hope I didn’t vote twice!
Thanks for all you do, RQ!

Something to consider re: attrition will be the huge #s of people who will either not be able to continue because of being forced to do the I800 switch illegally by USCIS, or those who will lose their referral due to the overly (6-9 months projected currently) NBC/I800 processing time.
The way it stands now DH and I still consider ourselves in line, but if we are forced to do our second referral I800 we will be out. As of now we are at 30 months wait. We are due to renew 2/09 and get referral 5/09.
It’s going to have a huge impact on the numbers if something isn’t done. Please pass on the info. and the petition:

Cr@p, I just did the survey and entered the wrong year!!! Arrgh- that’s what happens when you wait forever. My LID was 01/30/2007, and I put 2008 by mistake. Oh well, someone else will hopefully screw up theirs in a way to balance it out… ;-)

Thank you RQ! With 14 LID days to go, I can’t wait to see the results of those in front of me for obvious reasons and for those behind me that I have met here and become friends with. The support has been so important.

Thank you!!! So happy to finally be part of the survey!

It appears that there will be a very large attrition rate (ie, people being forced out of the program because of USCIS’ unwillingness to abide by the law and allow processing of “transition” cases under I600A. Current projected processing time for NBC (under I800) is 6 or more months.
We are in line but will be out if we are forced to do our second referral under I800. We are currently at 30 months wait. Our next renewal is February 09 and our estimated referral is May 09. But this is an artificial estimate as long as DOS continues to ignore the law. Please consider signing the petition. If anyone feels like being proactive and sending a hard copy to their reps (I’ve already sent a hard copy to Calif reps Boxer, Feinstein, and Sherman), let me know and I can send you a printable PDF. The petition has been live for 8 days and we are just past 3500 signatures this morning:

Yea!! I have been waiting (and waiting, and waiting) to finally register on a poll! I made a deal with myself that I wouldn’t start submitting comments until I was registered on the poll, happy days!

Hey,
Waiting in Calgary we have the same LID. Nice to see someone here with the same LID and living in the same city too!

I’m still not understanding what the main issue is with the I800. I asked my social worker and she said it’s nothing to worry about. Does it all come down to timing? When it’s time to renew vs. when a referral comes in? Confused!

Waiting in Calgary and calgarymom…out LID is 3-17-2006…My husband was born and raised in Calgary…we love going back to visit….Calgary never stops growing++++

I have a NSN file at the CCAA but I have an open file for a SN from my agency and if they find a baby meeting my criteria they will pull my NSN file and send a LOI for the WC baby.
If not, I might get a NSN referral… one day.
I’m LID feb 2007. Should I write my LID in the pool or not, I haven’t pull out of NSN but I could technically get a SN referral.

Hi Calgary mom 2 be,
Same LID? That’s great!! We should get together and commiserate about the wait during our long, cold winter of waiting!

Lets finally get this thing done…

Hi RQ–in early polls one used to be able to log in and see the progress of the voting before it closed. Is that possible with this new survey?.
October 2nd, 2008 at 11:48 am
Sorry fjm, it’s not. I’ll try to post preliminary results a few times in the next month. This poll will be open until the next referrals come out though, so it will be a while before we have the final results.

Thanks RQ. Thanks for slogging through all the numbers.
