I kept running to the computer (between courses) and refreshing (the computer...not myself!), hoping beyond hope that I would see my daughter's face for the first time. As it turned out, the referrals came a week later but on December 1st with the first glimpse, the heartache ended. Lucy's Mom- I LOVE that you have the tree up already. I had (sort of) the same idea. I wanted Isabel to experience Christmas as well. Unfortunately, we didn't leave until Jan 19th. Did that keep me from taking down the tree?? NO WAY! As a testament to my mental state at that time, I actually thought it would remain green the two weeks I was away...without water! It seems like yesterday that you were awaiting TT, and now you have a calendar that is full of activities. How wonderful! Wonderful memories as you watch them perform each new character year after year. From the baby mouse all the way to the Sugar Plum Fairy. Life is very, very good. Last year, dd had no clue what was going on at Christmas. She's starting to get some idea of it now at 2 1/2.
