He was by far in the minority in the theater! It was a little cheesy, but I think that it stayed pretty true to the main plot of the book. I went in thinking it would be a disaster-but it was ok. Nothing can compare to the book, right? We went to a 1pm matinee so the best part was seeing all of the teenagers coming in as we left all dressed up in their Twilight garb and hyperventilating. Well, that and my husband running into a coworker in the theater. They were both mortified to be spotted at a 'girl movie.' My dh and I went to Twilight this afternoon. Pretty much awful. But then we all kind of expected that. Go in with some humor and think of it as a comedy and you will have fun. My favorite quote heard after the movie was over - spoken from a boyfriend to his girlfriend: "so let me get this straight... the vampires do not burn in the sun... they just... SPARKLE???" like I said keep good humor and stay focused on the uh... post movie fun... and your night will be perfect. :) J4J I went to the midnight premiere with my teenage daughters.
