Guys? There is nothing that says this is referrals. Could be TA’s, could be something to do with a SN program, could be returned dossiers for families who have officially dropped out.

I heard that all TA’s for everyone already referred along with the rest of February referrals is in this envelope— source: the voice in my head.
I hope this is referrals, but wouldn’t it be odd for just one agency to be expecting a package today if it is? I suspect TA’s- which is going to be awesome for my Feb friends who still are waiting to make travel plans.

Yep, mlb75 is right I would think. If it were referrals, many agencies would have something in the air on the way, right~not just one. However, I guess that maybe it could be that only one agency is reporting thus far, huh? Don’t know why I am so concerned with an LID of 07/20/07~just waiting for a phone call & some laundry & found myself checking the rumors. Most likely because we have friends with a 2/27 LID & are hoping they are in or at least next. Oh & Michael-love what the voice in your head has to say! Can you put him/her in charge? ;o)

That may have been my agency. I found out that the package they received did not contain referrals.
Sorry for the let down.
Then again, maybe that was a different agency.

Lets all pray this package contains referrals and ALOT of them! I am going crazy waiting to see the cut off. If they do get to the 23rd this month, the next batch maybe the end for February. In 06 the 23rd fell on a Thursday that leaves only two more possible LID to be referred. The CCAA will include the weekend and they would need to do another “5″day batch. Good luck to all enjoy the ride!

My agency received a DHL package today that contained a letter from CCAA officially stating the increase in orphanage donation fees. Here is what it said:
The CCAA has been its usual quiet self except for a DHL I received this morning from them. The news is not unexpected: the CCAA ‘suggests’ an increase in the orphanage donation.
We all knew this was coming. There have been rumors to this effect for months on end.
For the last 14 years the required orphanage donation has been $3000 US (approximately 20,000 RMB depending on the exchange rate.)
The CCAA suggests an increase to 35,000 RMB which is approximately $5000 US. Actually today’s exchange rate puts it at $5110.83.
The suggestion goes into effect January 1, 2009.
In China, what cost $3000 ten years ago takes more than $5000 today. Orphanage directors simply cannot continue to provide better care for children when costs for food, clothing, medicine, education, and rehabilitative services continue to rise but no additional funds are available.
The “suggested” increase to 35,000 RMB will provide care for those will be adopted in the future and those who never can be.

Hey Friends,
Haven’t been on here in a while…brought our baby home on July 30 and we were LID 1/13/06…….I just can’t believe that they’ve only processed this few since we received our referral on June 9th!!!!!
Listen, stay the course. Be of faith and courage. Do not allow others’ doubts cause you to jump ship. This is the most exciting journey and privilege you can fathom. Your baby with be worth it all.
