Grasping at Rumors

I don’t like when it feels like we are grasping at any rumor that surfaces.

Yesterday someone posted that their agency has something on the way from the CCAA. Normally, when an agency makes that announcement I hear it from a flurry of people at that agency. But in this case there is just the one person reporting it. It’s possible that an agency employee just told this one person and they didn’t make the announcement to all of their waiting families. I’m not saying it isn’t true, I’m just saying that right now it seems to be the only rumor out there at all, and I see a lot of people holding onto it for dear life.

If there are packages on the way from the CCAA then hopefully other agencies will pipe up today and let us know.

It is deafeningly quiet. Maybe they are so busy matching they don’t have time to give agencies any information??? One can hope.

When referrals came on January 29 for March 2, ’06, my agency called them “early February referrals”. I didn’t like their wording feeling they were saying this is February. But, with the end of the month basically tomorrow, I’m sad to think they were right. So, hoping something comes soon!

maybe the persistent slow pace and the history of agencies telling their people that things are about to speed up are finally taking their toll. after years of this, it makes sense that an agency would hesitate to tell too many people even when they get news that things might speed up. could that be why things are so quiet? and why information is only slowly leaking from agencies instead of being announced?

i’m just theorizing here. i have no actual inside information about anything.

We are leaving for a three day weekend this afternoon, and I am really counting on you guys getting this all taken care of by the time we get home Sunday night….I hope to be seeing baby posts by next Monday morning!….I am leaving you all in charge….. Now, the big question, will we be able to refrain from checking the status via my husband’s blackberry before then?… Hmmmmmm.

My wife and I just received an e-mail from our agency saying that they’ve gotten through 3/6 and that we would be getting our referral next month . LID 3/7/06

Our agency did get a package from China Tuesday, but it was TA’s. The only reason I knew is because they were hoping that ours would be in there… it wasn’t!! But they are still hoping they can get it so we can travel mid-March

  12. WaitingforScarlett Says:

tchindemi: can it be true??? Oh yeah!!

    tchindemi-
I’m sorry you guys didn’t make it. That happened to us when we were paper pregnant with our first daughter. But at least you KNOW you will be in the next batch.
You can now count down the days till your referral.
