Possibly the 8th
A US agency is saying that referrals are matched and awaiting signature. They also believe the 8th will be included.
I think that until we have more agencies speaking up that this will have to remain at an R2.

I’m REALLY only expecting the 7th…Anything else would be flippin FANTASTIC!

Well, knowing that the 7th is a gigantic day..it will be nice to get past it….and then some…so if the 8th is it…then it is the 8th..my motto has been any movement is good..

That’s what I am thinking. If matching is done then signatures and mailing would happen tomorrow morning (China time) and then Europe receives their referrals on Thursday, usually the US is the following day. At least that seems to be the pattern in past months.
I’m praying that’s what happens….

graceclaire, it depends on your agency. If it were my agency they would translate and call the same day, and they would absolutely be working on Saturday if referrals had arrived or were imminent.

This has been the longest month. I am hoping for an outside chance for the 9th, can’t they just sqeeze that in it is a teeny tiny day. Happy that we are soon to see movement weather it is 1 day, 2 days or perhaps more. Fingers crossed

When a referral arrives at our med. size agency not China only. We will get a call telling us who the child is, name, birth date, all the stats. We must then wait 2-3 days for the english translation to come and then we will be called in if we are local or the information will be emailed. Our agency does not work on the weekends. I am so hoping that they arrive tomorrow as there is a mrere chance of having a picture by Friday. I am holding on!!!!! but continuing to breathe!!!!

Not sure if this is the norm but my agency makes the calls and then does the translation. They are within driving distance for us (about an hour) so they said while we’re on our way to meet with them, they do the translation.
Good question on Saturday… I’ll have to ask.

I am very happy for those getting the call but really sad that this month again they will do only 2 days. Since the beginning of the year, that mean that the CCAA only did 8 days….ridiculously sad.

I totally understand how you feel. If it’s any consulation I was in your boat last month and even though I had to wait another month I was so glad the cut off was the day before mine, because it meant that I was NEXT no if’s and’s or but’s. Here hoping the stork brings many days!!!

You’re so right, my3gals! For the first time in 3 1/2 years I can write to all of our family and friends (who have been e-mailing and calling all week) and say WE’RE NEXT!!! Of course I’ll wait to do that until I know the cut-off date, just in case!! :) Thanks for your support and good luck this week!!! :)

Someone in the forum is reporting that their agency has sent an email that the referrals are in. They have March 7th&8th LID’s so no help there….Tomorrow should be the day!

HOLY CRAP !!! Things are getting worse and worse, only 2 days :(( The only reason I come on RQ these days is to read her book reviews ! The rest is depressing … I’m close to calling it quits …

RayRDT, I’m with ya. I basically called it quits after the two-day batch in the beginning of March. But of course I will still torture myself by checking in each month for the next several years until my LID comes and goes!

Congratulations to everyone getting referrals this month! I am very happy for you and the children you are about to met. Looking forward to seeing lots of referral pics.
But I too am totally discouraged by the two day batch. I want to believe that a speed up will come but this is awful. This is like being a horse being strung along with a carrot and this horse (LID 9/22/06) is lossing more ground every month. Uggggggggggh! Getting emotionally exhausted from this. I guess I need to go eat some hay for awhile and check back on the carrot in a year or so.
