The day before April Fools Day
Before I get started, let’s review the projections for this month:
The main point I want to make is that a one day batch is entirely possible this month. The seventh is quite large, larger on the polls than some previous entire referral batches (in poll numbers) have been.
Okay, now let’s get to the rumors.
Two agencies are saying that matching is still going on and that referrals have not been mailed yet. The rumors from the weekend had one agency saying they had been signed and another saying they had been mailed already. But now we have two agencies saying matching is still going on. And, I don’t see that anything landed in Australia or Europe while we were sleeping.
I’ve been trying to see if I can get a handle on which dates are being discussed. None are being discussed. So, the next step is to look at the LID’s for the agencies who seem to know something. So far it appears it is agencies with LID’s of the 7th, and/or with families who are expedited. That doesn’t mean other LID’s are or are not being matched, it just means that right now the agencies who seem to know anything at all seem to have that information based on a March 7th LID or an expedited family. The “early rumors” from two weeks ago mentioned a possible cut off from the 9th to the 14th. If that were to happen it would be fantastical (yeah, I made that word up, the definition is somewhere between fantastic and magical). It isn’t out of the realm of possibilities, but I don’t see agencies who have a next LID of the 9th or beyond having any information at this point.
Nothing is above an R2 yet. There really isn’t much of a rumor to even rate at this point. Basically, we are fairly certain that matching started last week. That’s all I think we can be fairly certain of.

my agency keeps insisting that they are being told NOTHING by the CCAA this month, which scares me – makes me think it will be a one day batch.
We are in their next batch – March 8th.
How sad is it that we are only 2 LID days away, and we have no idea if we are in or not??
This has been the hardest/longest month by far….

If March 7th’s is as big if not bigger than I can certainly see why ‘matching’ is still going on. I have a feeling it is going to be a one day batch. It would stink for those in that 9th-14th arena. I guess the one day is still better than doing a 1/2 day for the 7th…maybe that means after the 7th we can see many, many multiple days were of LID’s. I mean if they can match the high numbers from teh 7th than maybe those high numbers can be matched through multiple days.

They would never do a 1/2 of a day would they? If the 7th is a big day, they would match until the whole day gets matched, I hope! We are the 7th!!!! Funny, we have waited for 3 years….but waiting for a few days is even worse!

I am HOPING that if they are taking a looonnng time to match it means that they are matching lots of children to families, and thereforemany more days like RQ’s Winter ’08 projection, BUT a calming protective part of me is telling me that a one day batch is realistic considering what a big day of LID’s it was. I then comfort myself that the next month would see quite a few days matched because they are all smaller days.
IF it is only one day while, of course, I will be disappointed that it wasn’t more I will be celebrating that we are past the biggest day of the month according to RQ’s polls. All of this is to say that I am wrapping my heart in the softest cotton wool and I hope everyone else is too.

I hope that they can at least squeek out the 7th and 8th. My agency has an LID on the 8th and then us on the 10th. I can’t remember the last time my agency received referrals for two LID batches in the same month. If they can at least get to the 8th this month, I’ll feel better about being in next month. Of, course if they can get to the 14th this month, I won’t complain! So close-but feels like we are splitting hairs to get to the finish line!

Actually, Fantastical is a word. Now, Craptastic is not, but it means fantastic for the 7th-ers and crappy for the 9-14th-ers. :)

The silence is scary, 6 years ago we received our referral on the 1st April and that was the start of the speed up at that time so fingers crossed history will repeat itself. Two weeks ago our agent in China said we should get our referrral in June/July.(this would match with RQ’s projections) We are lid of 15th March ’06.

I’m cautiously confused. A few weeks ago our agency (who NEVER pronounce themselves) told us they were fairly certain April would receive several batches to take them to the 14th and that the 15th would be in for May.
Anybody else hear that?

I’m with the same agency as Pug Mama. I’m thinking the fact that our agency hasn’t heard anything is a sign that we’re probably not in. =(

How sad is it that I am “excited” to see my LID included in RQ’s “Bad” column…I know it could take many, many months (a year?) to get there at this rate but at least it’s THERE!
Holding my breath that they at least get to the 9th!

Thanks RQ for the up-date. Like most of the expecting moms, I am clued to your every post! It would be awesome if the matching process is taking longer this time b/c the CCAA will refer a larger number of day’s. I hope I am not just dreaming. Bring on a cut off date!!!!!
