Mostly Quiet
Two agencies are saying something along the lines of… they believe the CCAA is matching… or they think the CCAA might be matching now. One of the agencies actually said it a few days ago, but with the odd wording used I didn’t really know what to make of it. But with a second agency saying almost the same thing, I guess it’s something that needs reporting.
Really though, they think they might? Let’s keep that one at an R1 until we get an agency that feels sure they are matching.
I’ve also been reminded that March of ’06 is the only month (since the CCAA started publicly noting it) to be split in the review room. I doubt that will have a bearing on matches, as they don’t seem to divide referral batches up by review months. But, I figured it was worth mentioning.
And that’s all I’ve got. Not much, is it?

Even though it’s not much RQ – we all appreciate you sharing what you have!

Isn’t it unusual for it to be this quiet 3 weeks after the last batch of referrals?

RQ, I’m not sure what this statement means; are you able to elaborate? “March of ‘06 is the only month (since the CCAA started publicly noting it) to be split in the review room. I doubt that will have a bearing on matches, as they don’t seem to divide referral batches up by review months.”
Thanks so much for everything!

Pls excuse my ignorance what is meant by matching does this simply mean they are still matching children with parents that they have not yet been sent out? We are awaiting our 2nd child from China LID 20.03.06. A lot quicker first time.

patientlywaiting – as you probably know, the CCAA updates their status box when they have finished referring or matching. (look under CCAA updates and referrals on RQ under site navigation).
When they update the review room status – it’s been a month. Finished through 4/30/06; finished through 5/31/06, etc.
March 2006 was the only month they announced a partial month – they announced they were through 3/22/06, and then later announced they were through the entire month.
So rather than announce they finished a month, they announced they had finished 22 days, then a second announcement for the remainder.
Hopefully that makes sense.

I think the wording reflects the fact that by tradition they should start matching soon. Since they broke with tradition with the last referral batch I don’t think anyone wants to predict.

Hi RQ, just wanted to tell you our agency got a small list two weeks ago and last week June 10th we got a call for a child proposal threw WC. Today is June 15th. I thought I’d post in an older post as to not alarm anyone. I haven’t heard of any other referrals…not sure why, I figured I’d hold off saying anything until someone else spilled their beans. Any how feel free to add my name and blog to the next list that comes out or whatever. Hoping to post a picture in the next day or so when the province e-mails them to us!
