About the same
At least I’m not worse today than I was yesterday. Going to the doctor and then getting prescriptions filled is an ordeal. I just got home and I’m exhausted.
I don’t have pneumonia, but I’m not that far from it. I have prescriptions of Advair and Proventil and Tamiflu. I told the doctor he couldn’t give me anything to knock me completely out since RK is out of town, I need to be able to get up and handle any problems that might happen at night with the girls. So, I don’t get any heavy duty “comfort” drugs.
I asked him to do the test for lyme disease, not so much because of the symptoms I’m having now, but because I’ve been having joint pain for a few months that I thought was just arthritis getting worse, but since I’ve never had arthritis in my hip before and it has been hurting me and apparently lyme goes to the biggest joints first… can’t hurt to test for it. It will take a while for the test to come back.
But what I have now is some version of the flu, and since I’ve had pneumonia twice in the past ten or so years, I’m pretty susceptible to getting it when there is any sort of respiratory something going on.
I do not see any rumors in my in box. I’m going to bed now and setting my alarm to get up in time to go get the girls as if I was getting off work.

I hope you have a good sleep and start to feel better soon. FYI – there is a pneumonia vaccine out there – if you are susceptable to pneumonia, it might be worth checking out. DH got the vaccine last year because he had had pneumonia twice in three years.
Hope you have a speedy recovery!

Feel better!! The pneumonia vaccine hurts like a bugger but it’s worth it!

If you test positive for Lyme – or even if you don’t and you think you might have it – TREAT AGGRESSIVELY. I didn’t and almost 10 years later I’m still suffering the after effects.

So sorry RQ. I hope you feel better soon. Get a lot of rest and take care of yourself.

I would strongly advise against the pneumonia vaccine. A family member got it and it made him really sick and now everytime he gets sick it goes straight to his lungs. He regrets getting it.
I sure hope you don’t have Lyme. Be sure to do your research on the type of test they use. If a person has had Lyme for awhile the most common test yields a lot of false negatives.
Hope you’re on the mend real soon. :)
