As luck would have it, as soon as I completed it and posted it, something came in.
An agency reports they have something on the way from CCAA, scheduled to arrive Wednesday. They do not know what is in the package.

Let’s hope the package is referrals!
This is OT but I just wanted to give the feedback that the scrolling books covers to the left make it really uncomfortable for me to read the blog. They make me dizzy!

TA’s from the previous referrals have nothing to do with when the next referrals come out. They are done by different departments. Referrals usually do come out after TA’s, but not always. It is not a cause and affect relationship.

willowflower – sorry about that. There is supposed to be a way to stop it. I’ve got images turned off right now so I’m not sure how to do it, but there should be something to click on to stop it from scrolling if you don’t want to see it.

willowflower, -to stop the books from scrolling, you will have to stand on the book on the very top with the arrow. Then there appear a grey rectangle with 2 arrows (one pointing to the left, the other to the right). In the middle there is the sign to stop the scrolling books. Click on it with the left button on your mouce and it will stop. Good luck!

Could be something to do with the SN program – like LOA’s or TA’s. Could even be straggling NSN TA’s, with the new Hague regulations there are more and more of them. Could be files being returned for families who have dropped out. The list is endless.
Some agencies let their families know when something is on the way from CCAA when we think referrals are imminent, and it is much appreciated, since it is often referrals on the way when it is reported. Often, but not always.

Not sure what you want me to rate, SanRN. I said in the previous post none of the rumors are over an R3.
As for this blog entry, if the agency says they have something on the way then I have no reason to doubt them. There is nothing to rate on this blog post: Something is on the way to them, and it could be referrals, but could just as easily be something else.

Do you know why CCAA would tell an agency to expect a package without saying what’s in it? My agency tells us when referrals are on the way, which I take to mean that CCAA tells them that a package is on the way and it contains referrals. Is it possible this information comes through back channels and the person telling the agency a package is on the way doesn’t know what’s in it?

I keep my fingers crossed once more. So we may have lost a matching month this year, but I’m OK with that, when the CCAA has matched all 29 March dossiers.

My heart skips a beat every time I read the words ” a package is on its way.” I am trying not o get my hopes up but I am so excited. I don’t think I will be able to sleep.
RQ, Will Europe receive referrals about 24 hrs ahead of us. If this pkg contains referrals? It seams in the past they start receiving calls and the next day we get the call. Am I off my rocker? Thank you for all you do.

Nope, I am NOT falling for this anymore………it will be some sort of false rumor or something other than referrals…..I’ve fallen for this for months and years……I refuse to believe it could be referrals.

A sister 4 Isaac: I would say more often the referrals are announced in the US first than in Europe. But it just depends on where they happen to land first and if it is in a time zone during office hours. So, as an example, lets say the first storks lands at 8 PM on the US west coast. All the agencies are now closed in the US, but it’s 6 AM in Finland (my country, first of the European agencies timezone wise), so in this example the first referral announcements come from Europe even though the stork landed later here.

Well, I guess we will know by tomorrow if referrals will land or even be mailed. Otherwise CCAA does not return to work until the 12th of October and then September was officially skipped.
Someone posted that referrals were skipped in April. I do not recall that. Referrals were about 2.5-3 weeks late but they did come at the end of the month which is what shifted us from the fist week of the month to the third week of the month for referrals to arrive. I do not recall a time previously when a month was completely skipped. Anyone else?

i just re-read this and it says “an agency” – so it’s just one agency, right? i’m thinking it’s not referrals :-(
