And now it is November

Halloween is over (if you haven’t sent me a costume picture or video yet, then follow these instructions and send me something, I’ll post them tomorrow), and November has arrived. There are three weeks until Thanksgiving and seven weeks until Christmas (insert bug eyes here). How many weeks until the next referrals arrive? That’s a really good question. I wish I knew the answer.

November is National Family Literacy Month, so I’ll be talking about kids’ books some this month. I think I may also do some posts on gift giving ideas, in part because I think I’d like to get some ideas, too.

The Children’s Place has some long sleeved shirts on sale, once you get into the right size range then go to long sleeved tops and then look for the good priced stuff, most of them are at the bottom of the first page or on the second page. Here is an example, a $3.99 top that was $12.50. I’m not affiliated with Children’s Place in any way, I just figured I’d share that I spent less than $70 and got over a dozen shirts for GG and TT.

Once referrals arrive I’ll be closing the current poll. If you’re still in the NSN line and don’t expect to be expedited, and if you haven’t already voted in our daily LID poll then please click here and register your LID. This poll has been running since the most recent referrals arrived. Please don’t vote twice. Also, please talk to your spouse to make sure only one of you votes. I will catch it if you both vote from home, but if one of you votes from work then I won’t catch that.

I’ve seen several agencies commenting on the decision to put a new director in place at the CCAA. Some seem to feel that it means changes are on the horizon, others seem to be of the opinion that Mr. Zhang is being promoted into another government division and that doesn’t mean anything is going to change.

There is also a coupon code for 10% off, not sure if it will work on sale items (of course anything on sale I wanted was not available in sizes needed)
    The code is NEXTJ78

RQ – “Some seem to feel that it means changes are on the horizon.” have they speculated what types of changes and if they’re good or bad for the children needing homes and PAP’s?

Noendinsight – Of the correspondence forwarded to me, the ones talking about change are all posing things in a positive light.

Most are not taking a position on what this may or may not mean for the program, though.

RQ, I think you meant to write that Mr. Lu is being promoted to another government division. Mr. Zhang is currently deputy director and many feel he’ll take over as director.

  5. RumorQueen Says:

    skye06 – correct.

On another note, I’ve got all of the pics uploaded and the blog post is mostly put together for tomorrow, so I’ve now got all of the pictures I will be using. Putting them all together into one post is turning into quite the puzzle.
