Today’s Rumors

We have a few agencies saying the CCAA is matching, one saying they were matching a few weeks ago and they don’t know what is happening now, and at least one saying that matching hasn’t started.

And another agency saying that matching has been “temporarily interrupted” while the CCAA employees work to close the accounts of the fiscal year (which goes from December to November).

From what I’ve heard, I think the “temporarily interrupted” thing is probably the closest thing we have to the truth. Whether the reason is that the quota (or ceiling) for the year is filled, or whether it is H1N1, or whether the new director stopped everything so he could take stock of things… depends on which rumor you want to believe. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen everything come to a halt so they could close the year out, but I do recall them slowing things down for meetings in November or December a few years ago.

Oh, there is still talk of matching through the end of March, I have not seen anyone talk about matching into April yet.

This is the second post of the day – if you haven’t read my post about ABC’s Find My Family then keep scrolling down, please.

3/28?? Please say you mean 3/29 since the cutoff last month was the 28th. I am hoping that with a LID of 3/29 I am finally in for sure. I hope this matching rumor is the real one.

    Hope you feel better RQ!

Sorry Chinapromise – I completely flubbed that one. I’ve reworded it to say what I actually meant. Maybe I shouldn’t blog when I’m not feeling up to par… sorry about that.

No worries! You really should have a sick day off even from RQ land. But, I am glad that you are still keeping us in the know. Thanks.

Honestly, at this point SOME rumors are better than no rumors, even if the rumors mention delays. I think we are all so confused about what is going on!?! Probably the agencies are equally confused. My agency, usually pretty accurate, said a couple of weeks ago that matching had begun.

My reasonable wish is for an early December batch that finishes March 2006. Followed up with another December batch, too–hopefully getting to April 5th so some of my fellow April 06 LID buddies can get their referrals in 2009. That isn’t too much to ask, is it?

I’m both better and worse today.

This is a bacterial thing, not a viral thing, and the antibiotics have worked to make my ears feel better, and the glands in my throat are no longer huge. But, I’m kinda tied to the bathroom this morning. Really strong antibiotics tend to kill the good stuff while they take out the bad stuff.

Hope you soon feel better RQ! Eat yogurt with probiotics…..

Thanks for the info….any rumor is better than no rumor……here’s still hoping and praying for ALL of us to get referrals soon!

I have a friend who is actually in China right now and visited CCAA last week. She saw them matching.
