Hi. Just wanted to let you know that the group in my country (Norway) that got their refferal on Christmas eve, leave TODAY for China, the 28th of January, to bring their children home. So their TA`s must have arrived shortly after referral. That`s superfast, no?So why are there still people waiting ?

Some governments allow families to travel before TA arrives, but in the time frame so that TA will likely arrive while the family is in country.
The US government won’t allow a family to make a consulate appointment until the family has travel approval, and travel has to be built around that consulate appointment, so US families can’t really travel without it.

Hello,
RQ thats for all the information you post, it really helps. I have a question. Could you explain the steps after receiveing a referral for sn in the Hauge. Will it be a longer wait for LOA and TA than for a child in the nsn program?

1. Wondering if those receiving TAs know when their LOA was sent to China?
My agency waited a week to send my TA (Jan 8). Haven’t heard anything yet. Getting anxious.
2. Also… do TA’s come out all the time, or only once a month?
We received our referral on Dec. 28.
Recent calls to my agency leave me frustrated. They can’t seem to understand my urgency. JEEPERS! We’ve only waited FOUR YEARS ! ! sigh…. hanging in there, but can’t wait until Gotcha Day.
Congrats to everyone receiving TA’s. Hope mine comes soon.

When the CCAA gets the LOA back they then send paperwork to the orphanage, and the orphanage has to verify that the babies are still available for adoption. So, the TA timing is dependent upon both how long it takes your agency to return LOA’s, and how long it takes the orphanage to respond.
TA’s are sent as they are prepared and signed.
