Lots of looking, not much to see
I see one report of someone who saw someone say that someone had received their phone call, but they weren’t sure what country it was from. I really need to see something first hand, with a little more information, before I jump on that one too much. For now, I’ll say that we have no first hand reports of phone calls being made. Normally at this time we would have heard from one of the European countries.
Those with agencies who reported that referrals would arrive Monday – are they still saying this?
There is also a report that someone in Spain “confirmed” the cut off at the 11th. But I’m hearing that the box has not changed, and no one has reported to me which agency has “confirmed” this, so I’m not taking that one to the bank just yet, either.
UPDATE: Referalls have arrived in Denmark, for their 4/11 families. They do not have any 4/12 families. But this tells us that 1) referrals are coming and 2) they made it to at least the 11th.
Woo HOOO. Congrats to those families who know they are in!!!!!

UPDATE #2: A European agency has posted to their web site that the through the 11th has been “assigned”, their word for matched. It’s looking more like it may be the 11th, but we don’t know what this agency’s LID’s are, so we don’t know for sure if they just know the cut off as it relates to their families, or the general cut off.
UPDATE #3: Looks like the cut-off is the 11th.
UPDATE #4: Looks like there were some expedited referrals in this group, too.
UPDATE #5: Lots of phone calls being reported now. Also, a few reports of NSN TA’s from the last batch of referrals. Congrats all around!!!

Oh my word!!! This is GREAT NEWS!!! Finally things are looking up! I totally believe that the prayers for a speed up are being answered!!!! Congratulations to all the families getting to see their precious baby’s face soon!!

Okay, maybe I don’t get it … But if the referrals are only through April 11, then that’s not such amazing news, that’s just C2A2 continuing to do what they’ve been doing. Yes, it’s better than April 9th, but nothing to do cartwheels over. If they get through April 12 (or beyond), then that would indeed be noteworthy. But April 11? Not so much.

I really didn’t expect anything this month being the 12th but that would have been a WONDERFUL surprise! I am happy to know that they got further then originally suspected so thats good news too. CONGRATULATIONS to all of you that are going to finally get to see your childs face for the very first time ~ how exciting!!! Please send pictures, lots of pictures for all of us to see this is getting so real, I love it!!! hugs

Not wanting to disagree with Basbleu but 4 days of referrals is noteworthy compared to the standard of 1,2,or 3 days. I am not counting the weekend. I think this is especially so since we are LID 4/11/06

Ok I could my stand it any longer…I know my agency does not have LID for the 11th but does have LID for the 12th so I called them and they are supposed to be calling me back with an answer. I will let y’all know!!!

I am not trying to take the wind out of your sails, just stating that for purposes of trying to forecast the future, getting to April 11 is not evidence of a speed-up – at least the way I see it. But this is exciting for those who are very close to a referral!

April 11th is not evidence of a speed-up, however, it may be evidence that the CCAA is going to match as many files as they have each month and not just stick to the 2 day batches that we have been getting. If this continues for a few months, then it is definitely good news.

I disagree with Basbleu. We have referrals mailed 25 days after the previous batch and the CCAA was closed for an entire week during that time. I take that a very positive sign. So many of us have been on pins and needles wondering if CCAA would continue the 2-3 batches, which would have been very bad news, and that didn’t happen. If I could do a cartwheel right now, I would.

I think the really good news here is that this batch came out 4 weeks after the last batch and they were closed for a week for CNY. I see this batch as positive for sure. Congrats to you all and for the 12th, if you’re not in, you’re next!

This was the first time we were able to see whether CCAA would keep referring approximately the same number of children even though there are fewer LID families per day than in March. The late December batch was so depressingly small that it could have led one to conclude that they would only refer a couple of days’ worth of LIDs no matter how few there were. For me this is great news, and makes it much easier not to lose all hope.

My Agency just posted that they received Matches for April 6th. Their next LIDs are April 12th. Looks like the cutoff is the 11th.

We are LID 4-11-06 and were officially notified we are getting ours today! This is our 2nd but still just as exciting. I bought a t-shirt that says “I am the Big Sister” and I wrapped it up. This is how we are going to tell our 7YO!

We got our call at 5:25 Eastern time. We don’t have any details. All we know is that we are parents! I am not completely relieved yet, some of my April family that should have recieved their call still hasn’t heard a thing.

We just got a referral the end of January from the SN list and submitted our LOI on 1/28/10 and we got our PA 3 days later and today we got a call that our LSC arrived in the package the agency received. Can you say SPEEDY???? Oh my, this is lightning fast considering that the CCAA was closed for one week for the CNY celebration. After our wait of nothing happening we are now full speed ahead without stopping….Well we are “officially” parents for the first time. This is so exciting.
Congrats to all the families who received this their referrals. You have been waiting so long for this day to arrive.
