Another Box Change
The review department must be smokin’ right now. I’m told that the Box has changed again to show that those with LID’s through April 30, 2009, have now been reviewed.
Congrats to all who are included!!!

I would think a huge indication of the small number of dossiers submitted

Holy Cow, that’s fantastic!!!
Let’s hope the same speediness starts happening over in the matching room!

Could we be the next ones to go through review? May 09. Yes, we signed up with a May 2009 LID. :-)
If only they could be smokin at the matching side of things. :-(

I heart the new director. Yes, it’s a reflection of very little dossiers. No question about that. However, the more frequent communication is so appreciated. My glass is becoming half full again.

Any movement and communication at this point is great news….even if it is related to less dossiers to be reviewed. Progress is progress. When you look three things that I have observed since the new director has taken place: 1. increased communication…2.revamping the waiting child special needs list process to make it fair to the children and families…3. announcing being reviewed through end of April…. I’d say this new person is taking some steps in the right direction.

Earlier today, I wrote that our LID of 1.22.09 would be reviewed next. I never dreamed that tonight I would write “WE’VE BEEN REVIEWED!” It is my prayer that the matches will speed up also.

Wow! Hate to be a downer to the NSN’s people out there but maybe this relates to the director’s plan for the SN program. It may be that getting up to date in the review room will decrease the time to LOA. There are some who have been waiting a very long time for LOA. There have also been a sig. no. of LOA’s in the last 2 weeks.

According to an agency it has to do with SN’s. They want to speed the process up. Several other people claim that their agencies said the new Director is focused on the SN’s program, revamping it etc. They are concerned about the children and want them to be places ASAP without delays.

That is GREAT that they are focused on getting the SN kids home! We are still in the NSN line for now but I remember all too well the painful wait to bring our second daughter home through the SN program.
Regardless of reason everyone through review, NSN or SN, can breathe easier now! It’s good for everyone! My glass is half full again also.

I also think it is a combination of both, small number of dossiers and to make SN more efficient. We are awaiting LOA now and the time draggs and our little girl is waiting it is not fair to these children.
I sure hope that NSN matching improves as these children should not wait either. I think they should focus on matchin as many children as they can and not wait till next month to release a batch but as soon they can match the next day worth of dossiers. As a month with out a family is a month and will mean different things to different kids.
Now where is my LOA?
