Projections

The first chart shows the size (in poll numbers) of the previous batches and this batch. Please remember each poll has to stand by itself, you can’t compare numbers from different polls. We can still get an idea of how the sizes of the batches have gone, but you can’t do a direct comparison.

Look at the averages for 2011 Forward, Past Year, Past 6 Months, Past 3 Months — pretty much tells the story, doesn’t it?

Next, we’ll take a look at how reality has looked in hindsight with the projections. The graph below shows where past referral batches have fallen on my projections — the X shows where the actual referrals fell. In those cases where I’ve added a new column and things would have looked different had that column been in place at the time, I’ve used a ~ to show where they would have fallen on the new column.

Here are the projections:

You can always find your way back to the Projections and When posts by clicking on the Analysis category in the lower right hand column.

I’ll end this with my standard disclaimer: As always, projections are based on the CCCWA continuing to do what they’ve been doing. There’s no way of knowing if they’ll continue to follow recent behavior. They could choose to do a lot less, or a lot more.

Finally seeing the light at the end of a 7 year tunnel. We should renew paperwork between July and October(depending on the number of days completed). Hard to believe I can actually say I will have my daughter next year. LID 1-16-07

    THANKS RQ

Hola from Catalonia/Spain. Yes, we’re almost there! Our LID being November 6, 2006, there’s a lot of positive thinking ahead. After all these years, we begin to feel nervous, excited, a bit afraid. But most of all, really really happy. Days flow, and our feeling of being near our child becomes more vivid. Is there any other family whose LID is the first week of November? THANK YOU RQ for all your support and hard work. Un petonet.

  4. Vicki4Miss Says:

Amazing how folks are getting nearer to their children….after such long waits. Congrats to all who are moving up.
    I’m headed back for dd#2 – a darling 11 y/o born w/clubfoot – and I should travel in a few weeks.
I was in the WAIT back from 2006-2008 and adopted my dd#1 – 6.5 y/o with SN (eyelids – now repaired).
It’s a special journey to take – the road of international adoption.
    Best to all,
    Vicki

Overthemoon, if you’re not already on the October 2006 LID facebook group, there was someone on there looking for other November LIDers.

Overthemoon, we are logged in 11/8/06 and cannot begin to express the emotions of this crazy rollercoaster ride. We are so very thankful that there is finally light at the end of the tunnel!

LID Oct 19, 2006. I have been lurking on this blog for 7 years:)

My wife and decided to adopt after we lost our first daughter Anya to HLHS. We thought the wait would be 9 months to a year when we started. Here we are 7 years later, and we have 2 healthy biological kids at home now.

Looking forward to seeing the face of our new son or daughter.

Snard, if you haven’t yet, please try to find the October 2006 LID Facebook group. It is so very helpful and supportive! You can also get a lot of questions answered if you have any during the process. The best to you and can’t wait to hear of your referral at the end of this month/beginning of March.

lea, we are LID January 29, 2007 and our agency is estimating about 20 months from now. I haven’t looked for a January ’07 group but would love to be part of one – m2cooper@hotmail.com

azaussiefam- are you in AZ??? We are! Let me know, we should connect!

  15. wait4ever Says:

I am hoping for about 12-15 months at the most. I can’t see 20 months for us with a 1-16-07 date. I think it will be easier to tell in March when October gets finished. :)

  16. azaussiefam Says:
