Still pretty quiet, and the accreditation thing

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

An agency reports that the CCAA will be closed for the entire month of August. Other agencies are still reporting they will not close. There is nothing (nada, zilch) out there about a cut off date. Hague Transition Cases

Wednesday, May 21st, 2008

The State Department has published a pdf explaining how transition cases will be handled. You can download it here: travel.state.gov/pdf/AdoptionFactSheet_TransitionCases4-09-2008.pdf In a nutshell, if your I-600A was approved before April 1, 2008, and if you keep extending it without letting it expire, then your adoption will be handled as a non-Convention adoption. March 12, 2008 – The Accrediting Entities (Colorado & COA) [...]

Hague Permanent Bureau

Friday, October 12th, 2007

There are some pdf’s on the Hague Permanent Bureau’s site that detail their Work in Progress. If you’d like to read through them, it’s the first two PDF’s here. One of the things that jumped out was a concern about undue pressure on States of origin. One of the things mentioned was that this pressure [...]
