Thank-you for asking about her she is such a dear

    URGENT
    Extreme Emergency Adoption

Girl from Asia, Aging Out February 14, 2010
    $9,000 Adoption Grant Available

Do you already have a dossier and approved I-600 (not I-800) logged-in ? Are you approved to adopt two children? Are you approved to adopt an older child with special needs? If you were to adopt this child, could you stay longer due to the holiday schedules? Do you have a cooperative USCIS office? If so, please contact us immediately regarding this girl. (AGENCY) will do everything possible to complete this adoption on time.

X.L. is has the cutest face and is very petite due to her leg surgeries. She is almost 14-year-old girl in an age-appropriate grade in school where her favorite subjects are singing and language. She wants to be a philosopher when she grows up. When asked whether it is better to be a boy or a girl, she said it's better to be a boy because boys are tough. She says she has many friends. When asked how she reacts when she is mad at someone, she says she ignores them. When asked about parents, she said she knows about mothers and fathers but doesn't know what they do. She has a low voice and speaks some English.
We were advised that she has "fragile bones," and that due to this condition she is extremely short for a 13 year old. Both her femurs have broken in the past, but in 2005 she had rods surgically implanted into both of her legs. Since then she has not had further breaks.
There are up to $9,000 in grants to help a family who makes less than $125,000/year (less $3,700 per child in the home) adopt her. Her ID number is 16758.
XXXXXXXXX is a nonprofit adoption agency. Contact them at **Agency phone number removed by moderator**

Please contact the OP by PM if you'd like further information on this child. Per forum rules we are unable to name names or drop hints regarding specific agencies.

I really hope this child finds her family.  I've seen her info posted several places and lots of people have really been advocating for her.  She sounds like an amazing child.

Now my rant:  I think I'm becoming a bitter old woman.  I mean, gee whiz, China, thanks!  At the last possible moment before a child ages out of the system and ends up without a family to love her and with limited future prospects, you will CONSIDER me as possibly a fit parent if I've already jumped through all your hoops and am logged in.  Obviously, if someone else who is married shows up, you will not CONSIDER me, though just a few years ago you placed a precious daughter with me.  Its so nice of you, China, to now on the eve of a child being left an orphan forever, remember that once upon a time I was a perfectly acceptable parent.  How kind to open your mind to CONSIDER the possiblity that this young girl might find a mother to love her quite satsifactory.  Sure, it would have been nice if this had occurred to you some time ago, but hey, its totally worth risking a child never finding a family at all to ensure that the child has two parents.

/end rant

sabrecmc, I could not have said it better myself.  it is SO disheartening.  so many children could be placed into loving homes if only the singles prohibition was lifted...I'd jump thru whatever hoops they wanted if they allowed me to adopt again.  maybe one day...

Actually, they aren't saying we (singles) are good enough now.  According to the post, you would have to be LID already (hence, pre May 07) to be considered.  So, not to rub salt in the wound, but we're actually still not good enough.  Sorry, just a little moment of bitterness there.  B-boy smiley

Could it mean they would allow a single parent to switch agencies for this girl? But still, I do understand your point. I don't understand why the CCAA won't make exceptions in cases like this (and many others).

I do hope this beautiful girl will find a family, I've seen her and she is precious.
