Getting ready for school
GlitterGirl has read all of the books on her summer reading list. Most of them have been read multiple times.
She is both excited and nervous about the start of the new school year.
I’m nervous about how we are going to handle homework with a little one running around.
I am hoping that some of the sibling stuff will resolve once GlitterGirl is in school and isn’t spending so much time around TwinkleToes.
So I guess you could say I’m a little bit excited and nervous about the new school year, too.

My daughter starts Kindergarten in 2 weeks. I can’t actually tell if she’s excited or not. Our next door neighbor (one year older) spent last year telling her how lucky she was that she didn’t have to go to school yet and how boring it is, so that has worked against me. I keep telling her that Alli goes to a different school. Getting a chain lock for her bike and a lunch box seemed to excite her (I’m thinking on Thursdays, my day off, we can ride bikes to school and she loves that idea.)
It sounds weird, I know, but it’s more important to me that she likes school and wants to learn than it is how much she learns this year.
