Crazy Week

We’ve made it through another week. I wish I could say we are getting settled into a schedule, but really at this point we’re just managing to flail around and stay above water without going under.

We also had a rough time after a boy at school taunted GlitterGirl for her small nose. The teacher is going to teach a lesson Monday around celebrating everyone’s differences to try to deal with the issue this way. And GlitterGirl and I did some roleplaying so she feels more comfortable telling people it is not okay to make fun of people for the way they look. And she knows that I love her nose just the way it is, but honestly I’m not sure that helps all that much when kids at school make fun of it. Lucky for us we are in the hands of an incredible teacher and I have confidence that she’ll handle it in just the right way.

Meanwhile, I think that having TwinkleToes and GlitterGirl spend less time with each other is making them grow closer together. They were together pretty much constantly this summer and now that GG is back in school and they aren’t on each others nerves so much they are spending a lot of time hugging and holding hands and playing nicely together. Watching them walk hand in hand, or watching TwinkleToes climb into GlitterGirl’s lap with a book she wants read just makes me almost burst into tears.

Tomorrow we will work on a menu for the week and I’ll get all of the clothes layed out for the week. There are no huge projects due this week (either at school or at work) and hopefully the homework load won’t be too bad. I think this week will be the week we finally settle into our new routine.

Ahh, the Sunday routine sounds familiar to me. If I don’t get a chance to get organized then, the rest of the week seems a little off.

I’m glad GG and TT are having those cute sister moments!
