I’m so happy for all of you it’s bringing tears to my eyes! It’s finally your turn. And for those of you just missing the cutoff, hang in there. Your babies are right around the corner.
I can’t even imagine the day when we’re waiting for 2-15-07 to come in (my LID). My guess is 4 1/2 years from now.

Let’s hope it is not another 4 and a half years form now! That is a 5-5 and a half wait total(LID1-17-07). I don’t know how to handle that. In response to your question from last week, our agency charges $600 for each homestudy update per year. You get one free fingerprint and I600 extension. We are putting at least $3000.00 extra away for all the updating end of ‘09 and ‘10. I am HOPING things speed after next summer. I think it will take until then to get through the March group. Let’s cross our fingers!! On the happier side of things, CONGRATS to all those seeing their babies. It helps to keep hearing it is all worth it in the end.

The cool part – at some point in the future, you and I will both be going TOTALLY nuts as we will be the ones watching cutoff dates to see if we made it into that batch! As I’m right behind you, you’ll have your referral and I’ll be desperately waiting for mine. And you’ll be saying “Hang in there, FindingHope, yours is right around the corner.”
That’s the part that I’m trying to stay focused on. In all honesty, I do believe that things are going to speed up. I’m hoping it’s going to be more like 3 years.
Let’s hope for the best! :)

Our baby girl is 7 months old and is in foster care in Jiang Xi province, the city of Shangrao! She looks healthy in the pictures and has a lot of hair! We were LID 1/4/06 with a US agency.

our agency reported 4 referrals. Three of the four are boys. Two of those did not request a boy.

I noticed a boy referral in the group. We were also referred a boy now 20 months, arrived home in August. We put down boy or girl. (Be prepared to answer that often….)

Finding Hope: You know by now with Chinese adoption that you should be prepared for anything!! LOL I would say, yes, prepare yourself. It happens few and far between that one receives a male referral instead of female, but anything is possible!

My agency also just informed us that the CCAA documents processed box has changed to say that they have processed through 1/4/06. Unfortunately it still states that the review room is done through 10/31/06. Sorry November people!

I always like to know if the boy referrals go to families who have requested boys, either gender or a girl. We requested girl both times. Our 4 year old daughter is testimony that the matches are made in heaven so we are prepared for anything. The only thing is if we were referred a boy he would be wearing dresses and pink for the first couple of years:-) Just kidding of course.
