Rumor roundup
A few more agencies are now verifying that the CCAA is matching.
One agency thinks they will get beyond March 3rd, but won’t go so far as to say how far that might be. And I can’t tell if this is them just guessing, or if they have been given some reason to believe this.
And that is it. it’s like a ghost town. Instead of rumors there is just tumbleweed rolling and bouncing along.

Maybe, just maybe, the no rumors is the “quiet before the storm” and a huge batch will be on the horizon. Hey a girl can hope can’t she!

Mom2Sammie,
That is what I have been saying as well. It has been an eerie quiet, just like it gets before a hurricane. So, let the storm blow in a lot of referrals!

OR “No news is good news”?!!!! Because maybe they just don’t know how far they are going to get… I am hoping along with you Mom2Sammie

With a log in date of 3/3/2006, I never really paid much attention to rumors over the last three years. Over the last couple of months my feelings of expectation remind me of being a ten year old waiting for my first Estes Rocket to come in the mail. It seemed like every day dragged on forever and I wondered about the speed of our nationalized mail system. But, for us it’s all good news at this point, because our dream will finally become a reality in the not too distant future. Soon our five children will welcome their baby sister home, where she will be greatly loved and cared for.

Bring it on CCAA!
Oh Yeah, “Happy Mardi Gras” everybody -from U.S. folks in the deep south!

Hope I didn’t sound like I’m bragging. I’m wishing the best for everyone whose waiting with a latter LID. If it means our waiting a few days longer, and we can have a really big number of days matched that would be great. Let’s get this ball rolling downhill.

The March 7th LID group is very big. Is it possible, it is taking so long because they are matching through the 7th? Or, is it the slow return of employees after Spring Festival?
Let’s hope its a Ginormous batch!

Kodiak Kid,
You didn’t sound like you were bragging, you sound elated that it’s FINALLY your turn after this horrible, interminable wait.
Congratulations in advance to your family on the soon-to-arrive referral of your new daughter!!
Come on, CC*AA — BIG BATCH this month – at least to the 8th, “Luna” needs to see her sweet baby’s face this month!
February 24th, 2009 at 10:56 am
TrulyBlessed,
Thank you for thinking of me! You’re the sweetest!
February 24th, 2009 at 1:22 pm
I will lose it if the cut-off is the third.
If that were the case, at the pace of last month and this month it would be 16 more months to finish March or a total of 18 months. No way!!!!
The cut-off can NOT be the 3rd. I won’t survive.

I am trying so hard to believe that we will have Chloe home by the fall. Our LID is 3/27/06, and at this point I do not know what to think or even how prepare myself. I am really tired of saying “maybe this will be the year”. I need rumors in the worst way.

Noendinsight, I’m with you. I am about 90% certain at this point that, with a LID of Nov 2006, I will probably just let my paperwork expire and drop out. But a cut off of March 3rd will bring it to 100%!
February 24th, 2009 at 1:38 pm
Me, too, Noendinsight and A sister 4 Isaac, I’m so tired of telling people “this year we’ll at least see her face;” the thought of ONE day this month just sends me spiraling downward.
At this point, we don’t plan to drop out, however. Our LID is 4.5.06 and maybe it’ll be next spring, but we can keep waiting….
February 24th, 2009 at 1:39 pm
A sister 4 Isaac – Amen to that!
3/23/09 LID here

oops….3/23/06 LID I mean
February 24th, 2009 at 1:59 pm
Keep going CCAA…match, match, MATCH!!! I’m going to take the “quietness” as a good sign – in hopes that it means they will match a little further this month…fingers crossed for all the 3/06 folks!
February 24th, 2009 at 2:09 pm
RQ, do you recall a time where there was not even a whisper? The silence is deafening and is spooking me out…
February 24th, 2009 at 3:13 pm
It seems to me that every once in a while it has been this quiet, and then instead of going through the usual “something is in the mail…” posts, our first notice is someone actually receiving a phone call….It is my hope that this will be one of those months, and the first report will be someone with a 3/7 LID….or further. I am still optimistic….and hoping to do some International travel before the end of summer with a 3/29/06 LID…..
February 24th, 2009 at 3:56 pm
cassiesmom- I’m aiming for summer too! But maybe we should pass that on to CCAA!

DebL,
This is going back a ways, but when we were hoping for our referral (August, 2006) there was NOTHING, not a whisper. And then, someone on our Yahoo group posted that her agency just called with a referral. Complete chaos broke loose after that and I think we crashed RQ’s server that day.
So yes, it does happen.
Let’s hope it happens again! I’m so pulling for a BIG batch for you March 06ers!

Just wanted to let you all know that I feel for you. You all went into this journey for the right reasons with excitement and needless to say, the wait turning into 3 or 4 or 5 years, was highly unexpected back in 2005 and 2006. It is very dissapointing and frustrating to say the least. Especially when you know many orphanages (not all) have so many children waiting. Many people have been to orphanages recently and it’s true and sad that the children aren’t being placed more quickly into loving homes (be it China or elsewhere).
I was DTC 3/18/06 but ended up with an older SN child. Thank goodness, because she is the right one for us and I think I would be pushing 54 by the time I would have gotten an infant.
I just wanted to say I and plenty of people around the world support you and your journey. And if you drop out, we get that too.
Best to all.

From a happy grandma who waited a looonnnngggggg time for our baby. please hang in there. Don’t let your papers expire; Sunshine ahead.

In way of explanation, I have been lurking, looking for info on our friends’ daughter who holds an LID of 3/15
February 24th, 2009 at 6:05 pm
Being in limbo is so hard! I want to think Luna2003 is right: the longer it takes, the better the chance that they’ll at least get thru the 6th. On the other hand, there have been so many disappointments, that I think the dry spell with no rumors will end in the uber-disappointment of only getting thru the 3rd. I’ll still be thrilled for the 3/6ers, but with an end-of-April 2006 LID, I don’t know how much longer we’ll hang in there….
February 24th, 2009 at 6:25 pm
Even if the cut-off is the 6th, that’s still a REALLY SMALL month. I think it would be the second smallest since RQ started tracking these things – second only to last month.
So, sorry to be the downer, but if the cut-off is the 6th, that stinks too.
February 24th, 2009 at 6:29 pm
whoops – sorry – did my math wrong.
Through the 6th wouldn’t be the second smallest month since RQ’s been tracking – but pretty close. There are only three or four other months that were smaller and not by much.
While finishing the 7th would mean it was a big month; not doing the 7th and stopping at the 6th would classify it as a small month in my book.

With a LID of 12/06…….never …comes to mind. What happened to the speed up !!!
February 25th, 2009 at 1:34 am
I am hopeful that the batches will get better. I am sure that families with LID after April 2006 are really concerned (including us…LID Oct 13, 2006). Only time will tell this year what to expect. I am very happy for the families that are almost there in getting referrals! I am certain that it is worth the wait! Let’s have faith!
