And if I could have help with that last category, please. I’ve disabled all of my computers from automatically playing (most) music on websites. It seems to be impossible to disable all types of music. But, since I think I’ve finally got most of it disabled, it’s hard for me to know if a site plays music.

Your Sophia reminds me of my daughter. I might be biased but African babies are the cutest. She has the most amazing eyes.
Congratulations on Evan. What a handsome little guy. My guy was 4 1/2 years old when he came home from China. He is wonderful.

Congrats to al the new parents, seeing their babies for the first time!!
Tomorrow it’ll be one year ago that it was our turn, our LID was feb 27,2006. Although we are very happy with our two chinagirls (our youngest is home for 10 months now), I find it frustrating for all the waiting families that the CCAA only dealt with 35 days this year!
For al those wo are still waiting, go for it: one day it will be your turn!!!!

Angie-Congrats to your family! Paige is a sweetie! We are with the same agency. I was wondering if they were going to come in to the office when I heard referrals were on their way. Hope to hear more from them soon!

Our agency sent out an email this morning that 17 referrals have been received last night. No one has gotten their call yet. We assume they are being translated and the calls wills start soon. We know of 9 of the families so if anyone else also got that email, please email me so that you can get in touch with the rest of your travel mates.

I’m confused–I called my agency today and they said they didn’t receive matches for 4/3/06 LID’s…..I guess I’m not sure if my blog needs to be posted.

seems like the referrals over the past year have been mostly from jiangxi – interesting to see guangdong and guizhou provinces.

We got our baby girl!! She is a precious 9m.o. from Gaozhou City SWI in Guangdong.We are overwhelmed because we had no hope of getting her this year. What a great way to start a new decade. Thanks to everyone for all the comraderie!

Why would some agencies receive 4/3 referrals and another not? Ours only received expedited.

I will follow the site rules and not name our agency but I just want to communicate via this sight to the other families who use our same agency how disappointing the communication we experienced today left us feeling. Our LID is 4/3 and we follow this site religiously so we knew matches took place and then we started seeing the pictures being posted by other families. We were sure we would get a call today…we waited until mid afternoon and finally called our local social worker. She was completely oblivious matches for 4/3 had even taken place, she immediately called the national china team and then called us back and told us they had only received heritage matches and that matches had only been processed through 4/2. We knew this not to be true and insisted on speaking directly to the national office. They tried to tell us the same bogus information which was truly an insult. We insisted they check the CCAA website to confirm that the 4/3 date had been checked…we literally had to shame them into doing this as they refused at first…they did then check the site and confirmed the 4/3 date. They were completely oblivious that other agencies had matches for 4/3 and said they would investigate. We have had a serious concern with the lack of communication from our agency over the years and the apparent lack of interest on their part to seek information on behalf of their clients. We are very disappointed and rightfully furious. Are there other families who have a 4/3 date that have not been contacted, if so please speak up? Also, RQ can you offer any possible explanation for what we are experiencing?

Two possibilities come to mind:
1. the package is on the way and will be delivered tomorrow
2. your agency or the CCAA was in error when they told you your LID, and it is actually a few days later.
There are more possibilities, but those are the most likely.

RQ…thank you for responding so quickly. In regards to #2 we know for sure our LID is 4/3 so that one is out. As far as #1 wouldn’t our national china team office be able to tell us today if more packages were on the way? We believe they know when packages are sent from China and don’t have to wait to be surprised by their arrival.

Just wanted to let everyone know we received our referral this batch. Our blog has become private based on our agency’s request but she is a BEAUTIFUL 8 month old girl. We are OVER THE MOON and hope that other’s still waiting can make it through. We waited 4+ years and know how hard it is.

We are one of the families with the same agency hence the need for our blog to be private. Our just over 1 yr old daughter is absolutely beautiful and we cannot wait to get on that plane to bring her home. Our 3 yr old son wants to go get his “baby sis-er” now.
