Thankfully, I think that last category can remain empty so far, but if I could have help with that last category, please. I’ve disabled all of my computers from automatically playing (most) music on websites. It seems to be impossible to disable all types of music. But, since I think I’ve finally got most of it disabled, it’s hard for me to know if a site plays music. I know that many people want to check the blogs from work, and I’d like to be able to keep the site safe for them to do so.

I am so excited for all of you, I keep checking back to see what everyone has to say.
Only 2 days, but at least we got some referrals. I guess these were 2 big days, so lets hope next month they add more days.

Hi Everybody,
This has been one special day. We got our call today (11.00 am Central European Time). It’s incredible. We’ve got twins !!! We dont know their gender, we don’t know their age or where they’re from and we don’t have pictures yet. In our country we don’t get a picture (or in our case two pictures) right away. First the referral and our file is translated and checked. When that ‘s done, all the information (age, gender, province etc.) and pictures are passed on to us. So in about 10 days we will see our children for the first time. We are so lucky!! It’s been one special day.

So happy for you all! We’ve been home since last March with our precious girl but it’s so nice to come on here and see pictures! Our friends are LID 4/11/06 so we are really hoping the numbers are in their favor next month or the month after. Cheers to all the new parents!!

Fliss and Mike – I knew I recognized that red chair!! Our daughter is also from Yangxi SWI Guangdong! We’ve been home since May ’08! I am very happy for all of you who received referrals.However, it is incredibly depressing to think that they only got through a few days again. I have a 10/13/06 LID. Does anyone expect or can give insight as to if this will ever improve?At this rate it can take years to get through just April.
I am so depressed…
Currently we have no children and are also on a wait list for Taiwan.

2 days is despressing seeing we are LID 4-12-06…so close yet so far but we never know how close or far. I was wondering the referral recieved for a boy…did you ask for a boy or unspecified. i see this is the 2nd time i have seen a boy. we specificaly asked for a girl…my husband is one of 2 boys, he has 2 boys, his brother has 2 boys…so you can imagine grandma and grandpa are waiting for this little girl!!! Thoughts???

I believe that those PAPS that are referred a boy through the nsn program state in the homestudy that they would be open to either gender.

I so much know how you feel. I don’t know what to tell you except that everyone says that it is suppose to speed up. Although I heard that for the last 4 years. ?? I do know Eithopia is fast, 11 months. I wish I would have followed my friends and went this route. We are LID 4/11/06, and I have always felt it was around the corner. Not true. In hindsight, I wish we would have applied for SN. That will goe quicker and if you are not up for a child with a lot of disabilities (not everyone is) than you can request a child with minor SN. Our agency kept telling us, oh, probably 6 more months… so we listened and here we are. I wish we would have went SN. I so much know how sad you feel. Big hugs from me!!

We are LID 4/11/06, feel your pain. Not sure whether to be excited or not. So frustrating!!! Yet I feel the excitement of those who finally received their referrals. We know how it feels. I often can’t even believe I am in this situation. Seems so unfair, dishonest, blah blah blah. Hang in there. Maybe we will be next month. It can’t be that much longer. I am getting to old for this wait!

Congratulations to all who finally have seen their LONG awaited child! Back in 2006 when we got our referral after 15 months that seemed like an eternity. I just can’t imagine what your wait felt like!
Also, please add our blog to the list of families in other programs. We’re finally going to meet our girl, exactly 11 months after her file entered my inbox…
