Babies!!!

Monday Morning Update: I’m leaving this post up because a lot of people are expecting their phone call today. I haven’t heard that the CCAA has updated their box yet, but it’s looking like the cut off date is the 29th.

I believe the folks in the SN program are expecting a new list to come out tonight – good luck to those of you hoping for a phone call this time around!

—————————-

Sorry I didn’t get this up yesterday. I was feeling bad yesterday morning and it got worse as the day progressed. I came home early and crashed. I’m awake now, but still feel pretty rough. TwinkleToes isn’t feeling very good, either.

If you are expecting a referral in this batch, or if you are in another program and would like to share your news, please list blog name and blog URL in the comments to this post.

The following blogs have pictures!

The following families have their referral but no pictures yet:

The following sites have music and are not work safe:

Congrats to all of the families included in this batch, and congrats to everyone else with good news to share!!!!

If I could have help with that last category, please. I’ve disabled all of my computers from automatically playing (most) music on websites. It seems to be impossible to disable all types of music. But, since I think I’ve finally got most of it disabled, it’s hard for me to know if a site plays music. I know that many people want to check the blogs from work, and I’d like to be able to keep it safe for them to do so.

on the music thing…i’ve always been confused about why folks can’t just shut off the computer’s speakers. the speaker icon is available from “settings,” and often is in your task bar. choose “mute.”

  7. RumorQueen Says:

If I mute my speakers then I won’t hear the dozens of alerts I’ve set my computer up to alert me to. When I’m at work I must hear those alerts, if I mute my speakers and miss them it would not be good. At all.

At home the alerts are for different things and aren’t quite as critical, but they are still important enough for me to have set up alerts.

Also, I often listen to internet radio, or this time of year I listen to my own Christmas music, through my computer’s speakers. Music I want to listen to, at a volume I want to listen to it at. Websites often BLAIR the music over what I’m listening to. It’s rude.

If I want to hear music, I’ll play it. I don’t mind sites that have an option to listen to music, or an option to see a video, but I don’t appreciate sites taking over my speakers. If I want to view a video then I can turn off my internet radio and watch the video. My choice.

Most people can’t mute their speakers at work – between needing to be available for IM, having other alerts that pop up when a system goes down, video conferencing, etc… we use our computer speakers as a tool. Any site that plays music automatically is considered not safe for work.

Wonderful news and Huge happiness for us all, especially those who had referrals come through this week – Congrats! And for those of us still waiting, we are a few days closer to realizing our dreams as well. Now, the waiting begins for the next referral cycle and the big question on whether our date will be next, or next after next. Here’s hoping for Next!!
