About Us

My husband and I were LID in late September 2005 for our second child.

We are now home and have two amazing children.

I started a blog to keep track of rumors and statistics during the (at the time) long wait to bring TwinkleToes home. Things started slowing down shortly after we were logged in, and in a situation where I had no control, I did the one thing I could do – try to figure out when we might finally get to bring our meimei home. My blog audience numbers quickly outgrew what Blogger could handle at the time and I moved us to our own domain. Once the conversations were too complex for the comments I opened up the forum, and that has helped us form a community.

ChinaAdoptTalk is now a gathering place, and we’ve attracted people who have adopted internationally from other countries as well. Our discussions about attachment, sensory issues, and race are relevant to more than just the a-parents who have adopted from China. Our forum gets around 20,000 posts a month, so if you are looking for a parenting community that understands adoption issues feel free to join us.
